Pastor Jeff Johnson

I began my call as pastor at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in August 2003. I have served my entire ordained ministry in North Dakota, previously in New Rockford, Maxbass/Newburg, and Grenora, ND.  I am a graduate of Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and Golden Valley Lutheran College, Minneapolis, MN.  Having grown up on a dairy farm near New Richmond, Wisconsin I have tried very hard to educate people (without success) that that is the true Holy Land. 

My wife Marsha is a native of Crosby, ND.  She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse and is now a fulltime mother and homemaker.  We are both kept very busy with two teenage children who attend school in Park River: Marit, a senior, and, Isak, a freshman.

Secretary Linda Markusen

I started work at OSLC in August of 2007.  My former employment was as a para at Park River Elementary and before that, a CNA at Good Sam.

I grew up in Grafton and married Dennis, of Park River, in August, 1971.  I was a stay-at-home mom for 20+ years, raising our 6 children,

Jess, Jason, Jon, Joe, Jenna & Jasmine. 

We also have 8 grandchildren.

I enjoy my job at OSLC and all the people I am able to come in contact with over the course of my work.

Some of the things I enjoy:  FOOD, flowers, music, FOOD, reading, remodeling, and did I mention FOOD?!!

Youth Director Tynan Nelson

Tynan is a recent graduate from Jamestown College with majors in Communication and Religion/Philosophy with a minor in Christian Ministry. He serves in a joint position between Our Saviour’s and Park River Bible Camp, where he is the Assistant Program Director. At his undergrad, he was active in campus ministry while serving on the Ministry Team and as Student Chaplain. The past two summers he served out west at Camp of the Cross near Garrison, ND. There he worked as a Camp Counselor and the Outdoors Coordinator.

Tynan grew up in Battle Lake, Minnesota, a small town with a population of less than one thousand.  This position is his first full-time job and he is excited to be part of this new community!
